Gun Buyback Event at Viva Toyota of Las Cruces

On September 17, 2022, Viva Toyota of Las Cruces teamed up the Las Cruces Police department for a gun buyback. 107 guns were turned in and destroyed in an effort to make our  community safer.

With the help of the New Mexico to Prevent Gun Violence team, the Las Cruces Police Department, and the Viva Toyota team, collected 107  firearms and dismantled on site. The scrap metal is being donated to local artists who will turn them into garden tools and works of art. Click here if you’re interested in purchasing one.

Everyone who surrendered a firearm received a gift card between $100 for pistols and long guns and $250 for assault-styled weapons.
